Why I love being a Community Manager

Community work is some of the most impactful work I’ve done to date. I get the pleasure of running programs that bring people together—what’s not to love?

I love being a Community Manager. Here’s why:

  • I’m customer-facing. After all, if we have no customers, we have no product.

  • Every day is different. Running product/brand communities is complex, with tons of moving parts and stakeholders. No day is the same.

  • Swag. I love the merch business, let’s be honest.

  • Advocacy. I’m working with users who are passionate about the product!

  • Cross-functional: I get to work alongside several teams and across functions.
