Productivity at work: Part 2

Calendar

I’m relentless about making sure I’m the one who owns my calendar; it isn’t a free-for-all for booking meetings. Not that I’m getting things scheduled at every minute of the day, but I am careful about leaving time open on my calendar.

So what do I do? I put large blocks on my calendar for focus time. If I don’t have set blocks for deep work, then I get nothing done. I’m the type of person that even puts to-do items on my calendar (as opposed to a separate to-do list).

If it’s not on my calendar, it doesn’t exist.
