My view on work-life balance

It's not about a balance, per se

I view ‘work-life-balance’ as prioritization and choice. Not a perfect equilibrium.

For example: The morning is a sacred part of my day. I go to the gym, play with my dog, eat a full breakfast, and take my time. I prioritize living a full morning. And I hop online for work when that’s done (usually 8:30am-9am-ish). I also prioritize taking my dog out midday. There’s a calendar block everyday for this.

In the evening, I prioritize logging off at 5pm.

This isn’t necessarily a ‘work-life balance.’ It’s a series of choices and priorities. Sometimes, days look different, and that’s ok.
