My career non-negotiables

In a perfect world, every job would tick all the boxes, but that is not a realistic way of approaching it.

Instead, I have a short list of some non-negotiables when it comes to my career. These have always been my non-negotiables to some degree, and I’ll stand by them for the rest of my career.

• Salary: This should be comparable to my skills, experience, and value I know I can deliver to the organization. (Keeping in mind market trends/geo)

• Employee support/benefits: Take care of your team, that’s it.

• Growth and development: If I’m not growing, what am I doing?
