Let's talk about the "Skills" section of a resume
If anyone can say it, don't say it.
There’s never going to be a one-size-fits-all for resumes. Exhibit A:
My resume doesn’t have a “Skills” section.
I weave my skills into the work experience section, demonstrating that I do indeed have X skill because Y project and Z growth demonstrated that.
What I do have, however, is a “Technology” section, listing software tools I’m familiar with, what I use them for, and my experience level on a 4-level range: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert.
Sure, a “Skills” section could handle all those keywords you want an ATS to pick up, but your work experience can also be that place.
