Day in the life of a Community Manager

Spoiler: Each day is different

Every community has its own audience with its own goals and norms. No day is the same.

A typical day for me includes:

  • Content: Product updates, blogs, social, and general comms, including internal comms so the team knows what’s happening in our community.

  • Product feedback: Owning the feedback loop, ensuring the appropriate team(s) have said feedback documented.

  • Vendors: Tech stack maintenance, account team collaboration, contracts and renewals.

  • Strategy: Making sure Community has a seat at the table when planning decisions are made.

  • Program management: Keeping programs running smoothly.

  • Operations: Ensure nothing’s broken and processes are running smoothly.
