Community hack: Part F
This might seem obvious but
I won’t bury the lede: Join other online communities as a member.
Why? Well, what’s the point in running a community if you don’t have any idea what a member experience is like? Even if the community you join has nothing to do with what your community is about; it doesn’t matter. A member experience is a member experience. You still want it to be a positive, inviting, and inclusive one, regardless.
These could be professional communities, or special interest communities, or geo-based communities on a particular topic. Even niche fandom groups. Choose one and jump in. Lurk, participate, network.
