Community hack: Part C

You're always building

I’ll cut to the chase: If something isn’t working, change it. If something is working, maximize on it. Double down on it.

Community management is often an endless cycle of experimentation (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). You gotta do it anyway in order to see what your audience responds to, and sometimes, what you envisioned in your mind (content strategy, engagement strategy, gamification, whatever it is), isn’t what actually happened (welcome to the club; I’ve been there!).

Always be building and experimenting. Try out new initiatives with your top contributors. Lean on those people for feedback before you launch.
