Community hack: Part A

I manage online and IRL spaces where folks connect around passion for the product.

This hack, while straightforward, carries context that is far more in-depth. No matter how new or experienced your member is with the community platform, they’re still entering a new space. So what’s the hack? Assume no one knows what to do when they enter your community.

If you logged into 100 communities that all used the same platform, each community would still be different: norms, culture, goals, guidelines, vision.

Shorter answer: Educate everyone. Even the people who think they know what to do when they enter.
