Career advice

I recently asked on Linkedin: “What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?” And I really enjoyed reading what was shared, largely of which, I agree with.

Here’s some I’ve received over the years:

• Everywhere has it’s challenges. Choose the best place for you.

• It is never that deep.

• Don’t get too comfortable (big one!)

• Hold on to positive feedback. Keep it in a folder for yourself.

• It only takes one person to say “Yes” and give you that chance. Just one.

• Contributing to meetings doesn’t always mean that you need to talk.

• A good manager can turn everything around.
